By (or Exchange) Email on Android Kitkat


Whenever I started a new website, I would sign up for Google’s free business apps and associate it with the domain. Since Google Apps has became a paid service, its more difficult to justify paying for the service that I potentially may not use. I love Google business, but not every site I make yields a return so I need something for free to get things off the ground or at the very least, look official. Enter They offer free email hosting for your own domain. (Perfect!) It takes a bit of setup, but that’s probably another blog post (TIP: Start here).

The biggest issue I had was adding this email address to my Nexus 5 Android device.

Here’s how I did it.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Corporate
  3. Click Account Settings
  4. Click Add Account
  5. Enter your Email address / Password
  6. Click Manual Setup
  7. Click Exchange
  8. Change the server to
  9. Click Next
  10. All Done!
